troi·ka (тройка)

noun  /ˈtroikə/

  • A Russian vehicle pulled by a team of three horses abreast
  • A group of three people working together, esp. in an administrative or managerial capacity
  • A food blog featuring favorite recipes from a mother and her two daughters

Welcome to The Troika Table! We are Tami, Janessa, and Kara, cooking away in our three different kitchens to bring you all sorts of recipes, reviews, and photos. Enjoy!

About Tami

Tami, the mom, currently lives in a small town in Germany. With a Mexican-American heritage and a great eye (or mouth?) for improvising in the kitchen, she’ll bring you lots of authentic, really tasty Mexican recipes as well as her own creations featuring ingredients from her garden.  She also happens to be a treasure trove of little cooking tidbits – just ask!

About Janessa

Janessa, the older daughter, lives with her husband and the three cutest kids you’ll ever meet (seriously) in Colorado. She makes everything that is good. From canned goods to kid-friendly to grown-up food and drink, Janessa loves to try new recipes and will tell you everything you need to know to make them yourself.

About Kara

Kara, the youngest daughter, is trying to bust into the real world with a new job in DC.  She’ll bring you recipes that focus on great taste for less money, as well as a handful of Russian and Eastern European delights, inspired by her year spent abroad in Russia.
